My was said to look like a dress and lava which is actually kinda funny because looking back at it, it totally does. It succeeds in becoming pinecone inspired and failed and being an actual pinecone. I think this is because of the stylization I used (the lack of flared out petals and the flow of the piece). It also succeeds in having a sense of continuance and closure to a certain extent. The placement was nice because having the petals having off of the table augments the size of the structure though it may have looked better if it were hanging up or as Travis suggested if I were wearing it. The change in technique is visible form the top to the bottom where the top flares out more and the bottom flows like a dress which also has a soft look to it.
